The world is moving and agriculture has been moving too. To say the agriculture of the 15th century is the same as what we have in this generation is to be living in shadows past. In fact, the agriculture of the 21st century is different from that of the 20th century.

There was a generation that defined agriculture as just the tilling of land and rearing of animals for the consumption of man. Since that was all they knew, they had access to almost zero technology and there was never a thing like agricultural-technology (Agri-tech), we believed them because we did not know any better after all. But in this present age, agriculture has taken a new shape, a new look and a new phase. In other words, agriculture has evolved. So what has changed?

Agriculture can no longer be seen as just the cultivation of lands and rearing of animals (although that being the basics). Agriculture is now viewed as the science of extracting the best out of land cultivation and rearing of livestock to the end that efficiency is increased, productivity is boosted and yields are enhanced.

To stay relevant in the agricultural business is to embrace the revolution of the agricultural industry. No one desires to remain stagnant and technologist who are interested in sustaining lives through agriculture have been on their feet, working and improving through generations in order to make the most basic human necessity (food) readily available.

Just so you know; agriculture is here to stay and technology is the new legs on which it will stand.
